This delightful stone cottage
is set on a hill, close to the grounds of the charming castle of
Belcastel, and overlooks the wonderful countryside of the Dordogne. It
is situated in the middle of some of the most stunning villages, towns,
chateaux and underground caves of this beautiful region. Close by are
the famous "Grottes de LaCave" the extraordinary town of Rocamodour, La
Roque Gageac and many more. The nearest village is Cales, a lovely
place, with small supermarket, bakers, butchers, etc. The village comes
to life during the week when there is a very colourful market.The
area surrounding the cottage is renowned for its spectacular forested
countryside and gastronomic delights, such as the famous foie gras,
walnuts and, of course, truffles. There is a choice of reasonably priced
restaurants, offering good value for money, close to the cottage. Many
leisure activities are found locally including canoeing, lakes (some
with swimming facilities), golf and a number of tennis courts. Nearby
are the mediaeval towns of Souillac and Brive.
The house sleeps 4 adults and up to 3 children, and the accommodation
comprises:-

double bed settee.
