Where are we and what we can provide: The Cottage is situated within the
beautiful farming countryside and only a 5-minute drive to St Nicolas Du
Pelem. We are only 1½ hour’s drive from the ferry ports of 1½ hours
drive from the ferry ports of Roscoff & St Malo & the airports of Dinard
& Brest, which have daily Ryan-air flights. Accommodation available:
Situated on the first floor, 1 family suite consisting of 1 double & 1
Single bed, 1 double room, 1 Single room and a fully equipped bathroom
with bath and shower. Downstairs: Large Living room, Dining room and
fully equipped Kitchen. All rooms have electric central heating. The
following is a list of what we include in the price: Electricity, gas
and water. Use of the communal Hot tub Jacuzzi and above ground swimming
pool June to the end of September Bed linen Cots and cot linen Daily
Towel changes Cleaner Full laundry service (price on request) Free use
of Hairdryer, Iron, cooking facilities etc Babysitting by the owner (9
euros per h! our) Free use of Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball and fishing
equipment. B&B accommodation available. All meals (including Gourmet

Cleaning and Towel changes can be done on request during the winter
months however it is mandatory during the summer.
Entertainment; Terrestrial TV, Satellite TV, Video, Radio, CD System,
Board Games. There is Tennis, Volleyball, badminton, cricket, childrens
games, fishing and board games. Local interests; Saint Nicolas du Pelem
has a boulangerie, 2 banks, Tourist Office, a well stocked Super U
supermarket and garage. There are also range of places to eat and drink
such as Gwendoline's Pizzeria (where you will also find Samina from
Saminas Bellydance performing when she is in the country), Le Petit
Bouffe Bar and the Auberge Kreisker (which servers good value lunchtime
meals at about 9 euros including wine). If you want to travel a little
further a field there is the Auberge Pellinec at Canihuel (approx 15
minute drive) which overlooks a beautiful lake and is open both
lunchtime and evenings. The host Patricia and Oliver are very welcoming
and have a superb menu at very reasonable prices. St Nicolas du Pelem is
also situated within easy reach of La du Guerledan, the largest lake in
Brittany with beaches & watersport facilities. Close by is the abbey Bon
Repos situated on the side of the Nantes - Brest canal; this picturesque
spot makes a delightful picnic stop ! and on Sunday mornings has a small
produce market which is well worth a visit. |
