Catusse-Haut is a converted farmhouse gite in the Midi Pyrenees of South
West France, with a pool, set in 2 acres sitting on the slopes of the
village of Montalzat, the highest point in the region.
La
Fermette is a classic Quercy style farmhouse, lovingly restored into a
family gite, to retain many original features including a large
inglenook fireplace and stripped beams.
Beautiful uninterrupted views can be seen from every window. The
property sleeps 8 - two doubles and 2 twins. A travel cot is available
by prior arrangement.
Ground floor amenities include a large kitchen / dining room with
inglenook fireplace and family sized table and chairs. Adjacent is the
sitting room with delightful feature stone wall, exposed oak beams and
fireplace. The central corridor leads to two bedrooms - one double and a
twin, and to the shower room.
A
large airy first floor double bedroom with ensuite shower and seating
area, provides a relaxing master suite. A further first floor twin room
completes the accommodation. At the western side of the house is a
covered terrace with table and chairs, perfect for a shady lunch or to
watch our magnificent summer sunsets. A private barbecue is provided.
The
house, built in the mid 1800's, was sympathetically renovated in 2003
into a fully equipped gite.
We
have 360 degree views over a patchwork of fertile fields, vines and
fruit trees. The village of Montpezat de Quercy, with two bars,
restaurants, bakeries, charcuterie and a selection of supermarkets and
shops, is just 2km away. The village, lit each evening, provides a
wonderful backdrop after the sun has gone down. Through the summer,
crops of sunflowers, wheat and corn provide an enchanting setting for a
relaxing holiday.
Nearby Caussade and Montauban provide a host of restaurants and
services. |
