With vineyards on three sides, Chez Medas is tucked away behind tall hedging offering seclusion and tranquility, with a large heated swimming pool and nearly two acres of private gardens. Chez Medas is ideal for those who love the countryside, the food, and the people. 

THE REGION:

Set in a beautiful area of rolling countryside with forests, beaches and seaside resorts and some of the finest vineyards in the world. There are numerous pretty villages in the region, non finer than St.Emilion, a stunning ancient village set into the hillside with breathtaking views, numerous restaurants, wine tasting and visits to the famous vineyards are available. 

SEASIDE RESORTS such as Royan and Arcachon are ideal for the family. Clean safe beaches and a wealth of places to eat cater to all budgets and to those who love seafood. 

The largest sand dune in Europe can be found close to Arcachon and Spain is only 2-3 hours away. 

The area is rich in natural history and one can observe buzzards, storks and many birds of pray on our doorstep. Butterflies, moths, wild otters, sand lizards salamanders and much more can be found in the area. 

ACCOMMODATION. is within one of the two brand new chalet style homes which are well equipped for your holiday needs. Each has two bedrooms, one double and one twin room. Separate toilet and shower room The KITCHEN area is open plan and is equipped with all crockery and cutlery for six people. All BEDDING and LINEN is provided.

THE GARDENS:

The property is situated behind tall hedging and is also fenced so parents can feel safe that children are secure. The gently sloping gardens are dotted with numerous mature and new trees yet offers all the space you want for a game of boulles or simply to play on the grass with the children.

SWIMMING POOL:

A large heated pool (may - Sept) is available for guests and is also ideal for the non swimmer with a large section only 1 metre deep. outside shower and toilet facilities are provided by the pool. 

LOCAL SERVICES:

Most services are available locally to make your stay safe and comfortable and there are numerous markets held every day of the week in the area.  

CLIMATE:

The area of Charente-Maritime enjoys a climate very comparable to the South of France, with over 2,300 hours of sunshine a year. 

HOW TO FIND US: 

BY AIR.

Bordeaux airport is about an hour by road, and is quick and easy to use. Small and modern it offers a wide range of CAR HIRE from a number of companies. 

BY SEA and ROAD.

The main Paris to Bordeaux  motorway is just 15 minutes away offering swift access to all channel ports and tunnel. The N10 is also nearby, just 5 minutes away. 

BY RAIL.

High speed train services are available from central London to the Gare St.Jean in Bordeaux.  

OUT OF SEASON.

For those wishing to visit out of season CHAMBRE D'HOTE is available in the main house.
