Situated in the small village of Venerand in the beautiful Charente Maritime - 8km from the charming Roman town of Saintes with its daily bustling market. The gite is ideally placed for the perfect holiday whether it be sightseeing, shopping, activity or simply peace and relaxation that you are looking for. Just 32km away from the Atlantic coast and some superb beaches. Cognac is only 25 mins drive away and the historical naval town of La Rochelle about 45 mins.

The gite is a pretty dove cottage set in the grounds of an English-owned Charentais logis dating back to the 17th century.

The ground floor is open plan and has a well-equipped kitchen/diner with cooker, fridge, microwave, dining table and chairs. The comfortable sitting room contains a sofa, hi-fi, books and games. The first floor has an ensuite double bedroom with a small anteroom suitable for 2 small children. A further downstairs bedroom is planned for 2003, which would sleep an additional 2/4 people. There is central heating throughout.

Outside there is a small, enclosed garden with patio, table, chairs and barbecue. There is access to a shared swimming pool.
