The house is about 25 years
old, and surrounded by an extensive area of land, which has been
purposely left alone as a nature reserve. Opposite is the spectacular
disused ochre quarry known as the Colorado Provencal, backed by the
Luberon hills, and behind are the Vaucluse mountains. Downstairs
is a large living room with a comfortable sofa and chairs, and a dining
table seating ten, with doors opening onto the patio. Downstairs also
are two double bedrooms one with cot and both with access to the garden,
and the bathroom with separate WC. Upstairs are three further double
rooms, the newly-refurbished shower room, and a further WC.
The house is 1.5 kilometres away from the village of Rustrel, with
facilities including a traditional boulangerie. The Colorado, with its
red and yellow sand, provides spectacular views and has walking trails,
an adventure playground, and restaurants.
The beautiful old Provencal town of Apt is 10 kilometres away, and
provides tourist merchandise together with a local market.
The pool is not available before the beginning of May or after the
end of October. |
