15 minutes from Brem sur Mer and Bretignolles sur Mer the Atlantic coast, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the ‘tourist season,’ St Julien des Landes is a quiet , recently modernised, little village, with Bar, boulangerie, Post Office, several other shops and park/picnic area.

Five minutes drive and you are in the small town of La Mothe Achard, which has all the amenities you could wish for, plus railway links to major towns, including Paris. Several magnificent 18 hole Golf Courses from just 15 minutes drive, and the ‘capital’ town of the Vendée, La Roche sur Yon, about 20 minutes, where shops, ancient and modern, abound. There is even a MacDonalds for the children, but keep that quiet if you prefer the excellent French cuisine! A rural area, dotted with tiny farming hamlets and fields of sunflowers, cattle or corn, the Vendéen people are the most friendly and welcoming you are ever likely to meet.
